Palace on Wheels, one of the oldest and most popular Indian luxury train's operating from year 1982. The train is managed by Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC). The concept of Palace on Wheels luxury train is way different to cater the travellers by keeping the enthusiasm throughout the journey. The journey covers the prominent tourist places of Rajasthan within bare minimum duration of 07 nights and 08 days. You might have a question why it is special? The specialty of a train is the luxurious interior or ambience which gives you a royal experience like an emperor. The train is designed in such a way, wherein every single aspect has been taken care of in detail to enhance overall travelling experience.
Well, if we talk about the features then train is equipped with all modern amenities like Spa, Bar, mini Gymnasium, WIFI, private cabins with attached bath and washroom, essential toiletries, mini locker facility, charging slot, Hairdryer, common designated sitting space in each coach and 02 different multi cuisine dining restaurants.
Both the restaurants equally serve tempting cuisines according to day to day themes. Most of the meals will be served onboard the train however; at some destinations your meal will be arranged at a hotel/s to give you a different dining experience with live music and traditional cultural dance.
The entire train is interconnected and you can easily access to any coach within the train only. An off board tours or sightseeing will be conducted in air-conditioned Volvo coaches with the dedicated English speaking tour guide. To give you more personalized experience, a personal attendant will be assigned who will assist you throughout the journey.
Palace on Wheels is scheduled on every Wednesday except for a four months annual break from May till August. The journey begins from New Delhi in the evening and ends early in the morning at the same train station of New Delhi.
